How I Got My Money Back From ACN!
They do have a policy about getting a full refund within 10 days of signing your contract. But what if you are already over?
I'll tell you what worked for me but I cannot guarantee it will work for you.
- If you payed with a credit card then you can try this.
- I called my credit card company and told them that it was not an authorized charge. That I did not receive anything from ACN payed $499. They ask you a bunch of questions such as, Did you know that the charge was being put through to your account. All I did was say yes, and that I mailed the letter of cancellation within the 10 days and I thought poof it was cancelled, But I looked on my statement wondering why I still have debt and there it is $499.
- The flaw of ACN is that they cannot prove that you didn't mail the letter in. Since they do not have a way of canceling online and its fax or mail only, things get "lost" in the mail. I also told the credit card company that I mailed it in and I don't know if they kept the letter until the 10 day period ended and just said that they didn't receive until after the 10 day period or what.
This may or may not work for you, but get a plan stick to it, and call your credit card company, you don't have anything to lose since you already lost your $499. But after you get your $499 back make sure you cancel your ACN account. If you don't you are going to be charged the yearly fee.

And if your not happy then you can cancel it.
But she said they do not take my money,
It will cancel automatically. But it is not.
They took my money. Rubbish.

ReplyDeletePaying by credit card really is the best idea as you can cancel it fruther down the road. If not, you have only 10 days with ACN to get a refund, and IBOs often avoid telling you about this. Let's be honest, with all the crap they sell you, 10 days is not enough to get a good idea of the business.

Right I had the same issue with ACN. I have been to my bank and I have been speaking to the consulate and we have faxing some papers to my banking but I only have a credit point from my bank letting them know about the scam.

ReplyDeleteI joined around 5 months back on a free trial bases. They say if you cancel and don't want to join after the 7 day free trial period they will not charge you and you are free to go.
So I actually gave it a go and saw after 5 days that this isn't for me, as there isn't a good return back compared to the hours and effort you put in. And it is purely sales based where you need to literally beg people to join or buy their services.
So I cancelled the free membership well before the free trial ended (on the fifth day) So I though I was safe as they promised on their terms and conditions they wouldn't charge me. However after a week or so I check my bank account and see that I have been charged £483.00. I was shocked and angry at the same time.
So I called them and they apologised and said they will give the full refund. From then I have been calling them every week for the last 5 months and all they say is that, refund is being processed and that I will receive it after a few days! But I never seem to get it. This is now getting silly and I lost my patience they always say the same thing when they clearly know they will not give my money back even though I have done nothing wrong at all and they charged me for something they shouldn't have.
SO THIS IS CLEARLY A SCAM!!!!
I was wondering in a situation like this what can I do, because they took the money out of my account without my consent and are failing to pay it back.

What I would advice always read what you are getting yourself into because ACN is the most legit company there is and any and every company can not please everyone a 100% of the time but just because they can not please people a 100% of the time doesn't mean it's a scam.
ReplyDeleteNot a scam however until you sign up you have no idea what it is all about. I was misrepresented on what the requirements are and I can not misrepresent people and family as I was. I was told that I was giving too much information to the people that I had approached. Just saying.

Acn is a waste of time! They offer their services but fail to mention that you have to buy a modem separately! And they are too secretive about the company so it's obvious that they are salespeople. That's all, and truthfully, they are desperate for more customers. I agree, too much effort for a business that's supposed to be "easy". Not at all easy and they are misleading.
